Snow Load

. America's Elite Garages and Carports., manufactures our buildings to Engineering Specifications. Our standard snow loads range from 20 Pounds per Square Foot (PSF) Ground Snow Load all the way up to 60 PSF Ground Snow Load. Do you live in an area that requires a higher snow load? America's Elite Garages and Carports. will customize your building to ensure that it’s up to code and meets the requirements in your city or county when purchasing a certified building.

. Our Heavy Snow Load Metal Buildings are constructed with a Heavy Duty, 12-Gauge-Steel Frame, and the bows/legs are spaced closer on center. One brace on every leg is included when purchasing a certified building.

. We also offer a variety of options with our Heavy Snow Load Standard Size Carports. Consider purchasing additional panels for the sides of your carport to keep the blowing snow and rain off of your vehicles or equipment.

. We also offer Snow loads up to 90 PSF Ground Snow Load Certification for an additional cost.

. The metal structures from America's Elite Garages and Carports. make excellent garages, sheds, carports, canopies, carport covers, shelters, boat canopy covers, shed garage kits, RV covers, barn storage buildings, sheet metal buildings, metal shed kits, and much more. All of these types of buildings can meet any snow load required by your city or county.

. When required, America's Elite Garages and Carports, Inc. can provide Engineered Drawings for an additional charge along with wind and snow load certification for any of our metal carports and steel garages. You can receive all the specifications on how your building will be built.

. Refer to our chart to assist you in choosing what snow load could cover in your area. (If you’re going by city code, please contact your city or county Building Department.)

Wind Rating

. In order for a Carport or Building to be secure, America's Elite Garages and Carports. highly recommends that the structure be strong and wind resistant. When purchasing a carport, it is important to consider the wind load certification to ensure that the structure can withstand high winds, especially if the building is located in an area known for inclement weather.

. The main wind load resisting system of a building is a vital component. Wind load calculations can be difficult to measure because wind can be very unpredictable. Therefore, proper anchors are an essential part of the building process. If Wind Load Certification is NOT added at the time of installation, the resulting effects could result in a collapsed carport or building.

America's Elite Garages and Carports. always gives the option to upgrade your building for Wind Load Certification. We at America's Elite Garages and Carports. care about the carport or building you purchase, and we want you to have these buildings for a very long time.

Note: Consult your local Building Department for your specific area requirement.
